Mexican singer/actress Patricia Manterola (born Patricia Manterola Carrion) debuted in show business at the age of nine while playing a role in the musical +Ana, la Huerfanita (+Annie). Soon after, she had the opportunity to participate in a record sponsored by a TV show called #Juguemos a Cantar. The promising young artist attended singing and dancing classes before meeting local producer Luis de Llano, who was assembling a new outfit called Garibaldi. In addition to joining the Latin pop vocal group, Manterola made her cinematographic debut with #¿Dónde Quedó La Bolita? working with actor Sergio Jiménez. Her solo career began in 1994 after a Garibaldi live performance in Acapulco and with the release of Hambre de Amor.
